Authologic becomes one of Europe’s first registered providers of EU Digital Identity Wallet credentials

Registration confirms our readiness to issue EAAs to EU businesses ahead of eIDAS 2.0.

Authologic has been registered as a Trust Service Provider to issue Electronic Attestations of Attributes (EAAs). The registration, granted by Narodowy Bank Polski, makes Authologic the first company in Poland and one of the first providers in Europe registered to issue EAAs.

EAAs are cryptographically signed credentials that allow verified attributes of a person or organisation, such as age, address or professional qualification, to be confirmed electronically. They support selective disclosure, meaning a single attribute can be proven without revealing the underlying record. For instance, a retailer can establish that a customer is over 18 without knowing their date of birth.

Our registration adds issuance to the verification services we already provide. Issuance is used where an institution needs to create a credential of its own, such as a bank confirming that a customer has completed KYC or a professional body confirming a qualification. Authologic's clients can now issue and verify attestations through a single integration.

The capability is live today.

EAAs are designed to be held and presented through the European Digital Identity Wallet. Under eIDAS 2.0, all 27 EU Member States are required to make at least one EUDI Wallet available from December 2026. The EU Anti-Money Laundering Regulation (EU AMLR), effective from July 2027, will further increase the role of electronic identification in customer verification.

Together, these milestones mark a shift in how identity will be established and shared across Europe, creating growing pressure for regulated businesses to prepare for the issuance and acceptance of trusted digital credentials.

"Electronic attestations and EUDI Wallets will soon become a core part of how identity works across Europe. Being registered to issue them places Authologic at the centre of an identity infrastructure that will underpin digital identity for around 450 million Europeans. Regulated businesses need to be ready to both issue and accept these credentials, and we're giving them the infrastructure to do that."

Authologic serves more than 100 regulated businesses, including OKX, eToro and Erste. Poland has adopted digital identity ahead of much of Europe, with a widely used national eID scheme and bank-based identity already established for public services. Outside Poland, we work with banks, exchanges and fintechs preparing for eIDAS 2.0 and the incoming anti-money-laundering rules.
