Speed without compromise. How WEALTHON strengthened identity verification without slowing entrepreneurs down

Entrepreneurs need fast decisions without compromising safety. WEALTHON built a model designed to deliver both.

Authologic and Wealthon case study thumbnail

WEALTHON is a fast-growing fintech founded in 2019 to provide financing, financial management tools, and payment processing solutions for businesses that have long been underserved by traditional institutions.

Today, it operates as an integrated ecosystem that combines turnover-based financing, a mobile finance app, a credit limit card, and a smart POS system.

They built their model around fast, flexible decisions to reduce that uncertainty. Credit approvals can happen in as little as 7 minutes, with funds paid out within 24 hours.

Delivering that level of speed at scale, however, requires strong and secure foundations.

Krystian Szymański introduction

Before we get into verification, what problem were you originally trying to solve for entrepreneurs?

Liquidity gaps. We work with micro, small, and medium-sized businesses that often operate on tight margins. Restaurant owners, transport companies, construction firms. For them, waiting weeks for a financing decision can mean postponed salaries, delayed supplier payments, or missed opportunities.

We wanted to give them access to funding that reflects how they actually operate, without unnecessary bureaucracy. Products like WEALTHON POSCASH and LIMIT were designed to respond to real, everyday needs.

When you operate fully online and move that quickly, how do you think about trust?

Online lending means you never meet clients face to face. That makes trust even more critical. Our responsibility is twofold. We protect the capital entrusted to us, but just as importantly, we protect our clients. Identity security is part of respecting the people who rely on us. If someone shares sensitive data and makes important financial decisions through our platform, they need to feel completely safe.

Strengthening verification can easily slow processes down. Was there hesitation internally about adding another step to the journey?

We approached it from the customer’s perspective. If additional security created confusion, it would defeat the purpose. So we knew the solution had to be automated, intuitive, and integrated directly into the journey. Manual checks or asking for emailed documents would not only slow us down, they would inconvenience our clients.

What did the ideal solution look like in practice?

For Polish citizens, it meant integrating mObywatel (Ed. note: Polish official digital ID wallet) because it is trusted and familiar. Many people already use it in daily life. For foreign entrepreneurs, we needed video verification with passport scanning and liveness checks. Both paths had to feel natural and secure.

Where exactly does verification sit in your process?

It’s embedded directly into our online onboarding and it is mandatory before any financing decision is finalized. We did not want it to feel like an external checkpoint or a technical detour. It had to be part of the natural flow of the application.

Once you found the right solution, what made you confident it would scale with your model?

The combination of methods in one API and the shared mindset. There was a clear understanding that speed was non-negotiable for us. The ability to embed both eID and video verification directly into onboarding meant clients could verify themselves quickly without leaving the process.

Did your initial concerns about the added verification step affecting conversion materialize after launch?

No. That was one of the most important outcomes.

Conversion did not drop. Clients accepted the verification process naturally. In fact, it increased their sense of security.

So verification became part of the trust-building process.

Exactly. When clients see a recognized tool like mObywatel, it signals that we are not cutting corners. It shows that we take security seriously, which ultimately protects them as well.

Beyond perception, what changed operationally?

The process became fully automated. There is no manual review of ID scans or document exchanges by email. That reduces the risk of human error and allows our team to focus on understanding the client’s business instead of handling paperwork. It also means we can provide decisions around the clock.

And in terms of measurable outcomes?

We track fraud-related incidents closely.

Since implementing the new verification process, we have had zero confirmed identity fraud cases.

Krystian Szymański, Product Manager at WEALTHON

Was there a moment when you felt the value clearly?

Yes. After implementation, a client filed a complaint claiming she had not taken out a loan. This time, we had detailed verification logs from Authologic’s OmniPanel (Ed. note: analytics dashboard), including video and liveness confirmation. We were able to present clear evidence. The client withdrew the claim.

That situation could have escalated into a stressful dispute. Instead, it was resolved transparently and calmly.

With this foundation in place, how does it shape your future plans?

We are focused on closing our ecosystem and becoming a comprehensive financial partner for entrepreneurs. Secure digital identity is the foundation that allows us to expand safely.

For companies navigating this right now, what is the most common mistake you see in how they approach verification?

Some companies think they have to choose between speed and strong verification. That is the mistake. If verification slows you down, it is usually because the process is outdated or poorly integrated. Modern verification methods, when embedded directly into your KYC and onboarding flow, can protect capital without disrupting the customer experience.

In fact, adding recognized, modern verification tools often increases credibility.

When customers see secure, professional identity checks as part of the process, it strengthens their trust in your service.

Security does not have to compete with growth. Done properly, it reinforces it.
